Film enthusiasts work in the film club, going over the script for their first movie. Ideas for the script are being thrown out left and right; students are excited to have their ideas presented on the big screen.
The film club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school in room 123 and the media room on the first floor. The club is working on their first movie inspired by Fahrenheit 451, a book that founders sophomore Ali Puente and senior Spencer Gunn really like.
“First, we actually started with the idea of the movie and then we thought, well, why not just have everyone try to join? So we decided to make the club, so we can make more movies in the future,” Puente said.
Puente and Gunn like the idea of making their movie about a group of people who rebel against the corrupt government.
“It’s mainly about a girl who is trying to survive and be herself in this corrupted world where people are really, really sad,” Gunn said. It’s also kind of like a stance on the, not to get too political, but the current government and how it’s messed up and not fit for certain people.”
