Boy’s Basketball Go Off-Court

Lose 51 v. 64

The boys basketball team lost to Schertz Clemens High School with the end score 51 v. 64 on Tuesday, January 7. Despite the defeat, the Jaguars are keeping their heads up especially since the Buffalos ranked 125 in Texas, while Johnson is ranked 488.

With this defeat, Johnson’s record has dropped to 8-14.

“Kinda beating myself up, it was a game we definitely could’ve won but we ended up losing,” junior Jayvonne Preston said.

For the next time they take on the court, the boys will be going against East Central on Friday at 7:00 p.m.. While anxiety runs high, some teammates hold out hope for winning the next game.

“I feel good,” sophomore Mackenlei Martin said. “I feel like we can shake the rust off this game and win at East Central.”
