Senior Roger Garza set a new record for Johnson High School powerlifting with a 700 lb squat. He likes powerlifting because of how it helps his mental state. “It helps with my mental state,” Roger said. “I just like lifting heavy. It just keeps me happy that I get to lift heavy weight.”
