The second annual fall festival is tomorrow from 3- 6 p.m. at JHS. It will promote the girl’s basketball program and the athletic department.

Coach Kourtnei Niblett said there will be a live DJ, vendors and games available at the fest.

The festival is free entry, but a $15 wristband is required to play games. Pre-orders to get wristbands are available now on RevTrak.

Niblett recommends bringing $20 for a wristband, as well as food and concessions.

The basketball team raising money at the event by making as many free throws as they can.

“We do a free-throwathon where all of our athletes that are in our basketball program shoot 25 free throws,” Niblett said. “You can pledge 25 cents for every free throw they make.”

When the players aren’t shooting free throws, they will be helping out with the kids and games provided by other clubs and organizations.

“Last year soccer brought out some soccer goals and they had kids dribbling through the soccer goals, and then they gave them a prize of candy,” Niblett said.

There is a large arrangement of games and booths. Focus teacher Jackie Hooks said she and her son played putt putt and basketball games last year.

“He played a bunch of games, he had a really good time,” Mrs. Hooks said. “He didn’t go with any friends so I wondered how long we would stay, but we ended up staying for about two hours.”
