As students come in and out of Johnson everyday, their lights are always shining.

JHS administration has been encouraging students to spread kindness with the slogan, “Be The Light.”

“Not just every student, every person on this campus can be the light,” Principal Robert Hensarling said. “At our heart we are all inherently good and we might need a refresher. I hope every student can be the light for others and we need support. There are other people who can shine and be the light for them.” 

As students come in and out of school everyday, they all can be a good example of being the light by giving, helping a friend, etc. 

The slogan was Principal Hensarling’s idea.

“I thought about it last year when the lights in the stadium went out and there’s a huddle of coaches together with one coach holding a flash light and it helped all of the students focus,” Hensarling said.

As students go into Thanksgiving break and soon after that Christmas break, everyone could need a little light here at JHS. Some help from a friend or just a little encouragement can help one’s light shine bright.
